Recruitment Consultant | Entry Level

Location: New York City Metropolitan Area

Compensation: $55,000 + uncapped commission from day 1 ($75-85k 1st year OTE)

Our team in New York is growing! We are looking for an entry level Recruitment Consultant to join our Selby Jennings, EPM Scientific, Larson Maddox, DSJ Global, and Glocomms brands.

We focus on high-level positions by specializing our consultants into specific niches and territories to develop true expertise in their field—providing insights and value to both clients and candidates. The New York office has demonstrated exceptional growth and performance, making it the flagship location of the business.

What does a Recruitment Consultant do at Phaidon International?

During the interview process, you will be matched to a sub-team within one of our specialized brands. You will develop your network, maintain non-transactional relationships, and establish yourself as an expert in your market by performing these core recruitment functions:

Business Development

• Reaching out (phone, email, messenger) to potential clients to establish relationships, network, and win new business
• Pitching and negotiating service agreements with key stakeholders for potential clients
• Maintaining existing client relationships and updating them throughout ongoing searches
• Pulling and qualifying client hiring needs to understand the role, company goals, and necessary experience

Candidate Sourcing

• Headhunting top talent (mid-to-senior and executive level candidates) within your assigned niche and territory
• Networking with passive/inactive talent
• Cold calling active and passive candidates for rapport building, market intelligence, and understanding motivations
• Messaging, emailing, and cold calling candidates to maintain a pipeline of mid-to-senior level candidates within your niche

Process Management

• Introducing candidates to clients
• Coordinating interview processes and exchanging feedback between candidates and clients
• Negotiating and delivering offers to candidates
• Post-placement follow-up: staying in touch with candidates after their start to ensure long-term fit
