Job summary

Quaker Houghton, based in the Detroit area, seeks a Quality Control Technician to join our manufacturing team. Under close supervision, you will perform lab tests to evaluate the quality and consistency of finished products, intermediates and raw materials, and help ensure the integrity of goods for customers.

You will record results per SOPs, calibrate equipment, and support root-cause investigations. The role requires the ability to work on multiple projects, communicate clearly, and align

Qualifications

• BS in Chemistry or related science; 0–2 years experience.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects.
• Good prioritization and written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Test raw materials, products and finished goods to specifications.
• Record and report results clearly and timely per SOPs.
• Calibrate measuring equipment as scheduled.
• Support root-cause investigations and corrective actions for out-of-spec material.
• Follow ISO quality and environmental standards and dispose of laboratory waste.
