Job summary

Orchid, now part of Tecomet, is seeking a Quality Control Inspector I at our Farmington Hills, MI site. You will perform receiving, in-process, final, and lab certification testing, applying GD&T principles to ensure conformance of components and finished products.

Role emphasizes accurate record keeping, strict adherence to GMP, and collaboration with Quality Engineering and Management. No prior experience required; growth and comprehensive benefits offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• No previous work experience required.
• Preferred: experience in a scientific field.
• Preferred: experience in quality inspection and lean manufacturing.
• Licenses/certifications such as ASQ preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance to Orchid requirements in inspection and record keeping.
• Maintain accurate documentation per GMP.
• Perform device history record review and inspections.
• Verify raw materials meet specifications.
• Conduct visual and dimensional inspections at various production stages.
• Follow customer and internal requirements; use inspection gauges and tools.
• Communicate nonconforming issues to Quality Engineering/Management.
• Train inspection personnel and support production requirements.
• Assist with First Article Inspections and packaging inspections.
