Job summary

Orchid Orthopedic Solutions in Farmington Hills, MI is seeking a QC Inspector I to join our manufacturing quality team. Under supervision, you will perform receiving, in-process, final and lab certification testing on implants components, applying GD&T knowledge to ensure conformance to customer and Orchid specifications.

You will collect data, document results, and maintain records per GMP; inspect using handheld tools (micrometers, calipers, height gauges) and quarantine nonconforming parts

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in quality inspection or lean manufacturing preferred.
• Knowledge of GD&T and metrology tools is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Perform receiving, in-process, final, and lab certification testing.
• Collect inspection data and report results; maintain documentation per GMP.
• Conduct First Article Inspections and other inspections against customer requirements.
• Use handheld inspection tools for measurement and visual/gauge inspections.
• Identify and quarantine non-conforming parts and escalate issues to Quality.
• Train inspection personnel and support quality/compliance per QMS.
