Job summary

City of Minot is seeking a Part-Time Public Safety Telecommunicator/Dispatcher to join the Dispatch Department. The position handles calls for service, monitors emergency radios, and dispatches police, fire and EMS units while documenting information in the designated computer program.

Applicants must be able to pass pre-employment screening (hearing, drug and background checks). Graduation from high school and some experience with communications equipment, computer systems, and phone systems

Qualifications

• High school graduation is required.
• Some experience with communications equipment, computer systems and phone systems or equivalent training/experience.
• Must be able to pass pre-employment hearing, drug and background checks.

Responsibilities

• Take calls for service and monitor emergency service radios.
