Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited law school is required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate assigned cases by reviewing documents, conducting legal research, interviewing witnesses, gathering evidence, and determining actions.
• Draft, file, and respond to motions, briefs, and other legal documents for trials and hearings.
• Explain the legal process to witnesses and prepare them for court testimony; keep clients informed of case status.
• Gather, prepare, and present evidence and exhibits for trials or hearings, including opening statements and examinations.
• Represent the State in trials/hearings; conduct jury selection, examinations, and closing arguments; participate in settlements or plea negotiations.
