Job summary

McKenny's is seeking an entry-level Project Engineer to join a team focused on designing and developing commercial and industrial HVAC, piping and plumbing systems. Under a senior engineer, you will perform load calculations, energy simulations, equipment selections and duct/piping layouts.

You will use Revit 2018+ to develop design and permit documents, coordinate with architects and other engineers, and contribute to project delivery while building professional experience in a supportive

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering.
• 1 year of experience in commercial/industrial HVAC field or consulting engineering.
• Experience in design and development of mechanical and plumbing layouts.
• Experience with project management for these systems is a plus.
• Proficiency with Windows-based PC applications (Word, Excel, email, databases).
• Desire to obtain Engineer in Training (EIT) certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform load calculation inputs and simulations.
• Work with project engineers to interpret load calculations and select equipment.
• Assist in life-cycle cost analysis among system alternatives.
• Coordinate mechanical requirements with architects, electrical, structural & civil engineers.
• Develop HVAC documents including duct sizing, routing and air distribution.
• Develop plumbing documents including sanitary and vent sizing and piping routes.
• Utilize Revit 2018+ to support responsibilities and document development.
