Job summary

Optimized Process Designs (OPD) seeks a Project Controls Engineer to join our team at the Katy, TX headquarters. You will collaborate with project managers, engineers, schedulers, and construction professionals to improve planning, forecasting, reporting, and execution.

This role emphasizes data-driven decision making and continuous improvement in EPC environments. You will develop and maintain reports and schedules, analyze cost and progress data, and support risk management and change control.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering, Construction Management, or related technical discipline.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and visualizations using Excel, Power BI, and other tools.
• Help project teams improve planning quality and execution performance.
• Organize, validate, and analyze project cost, progress, schedule, labor, and productivity data.
• Participate in planning workshops, schedule reviews, forecasts, and project performance discussions.
• Identify trends, risks, opportunities, and inefficiencies within large datasets.
• Support cost forecasting, progress measurement, change management, automation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support development and maintenance of integrated schedules using Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project.
