Optimized Process Designs (OPD), a Koch Engineered Solutions company, seeks a Project Controls Engineer to collaborate with project managers, engineers, schedulers, and construction pros to improve planning, forecasting, and execution. The role emphasizes data-driven decisions using Excel, Power BI, and Primavera P6.

Based in Katy, TX, this full-time position requires a technical degree and strong analytics to advance project performance in energy and infrastructure projects across North America.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a technical field as listed.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and visualizations using Excel, Power BI, and other tools.
• Help project teams improve planning quality and execution performance.
• Organize, validate, and analyze project cost, progress, schedule, labor, and productivity data.
• Participate in planning workshops, schedule reviews, forecasts, and project performance discussions.
• Identify trends, risks, opportunities, and inefficiencies within large datasets.
• Support cost forecasting, progress measurement, change management, automation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support development and maintenance of integrated schedules using Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project.
