Job summary

Optimized Process Designs (OPD) seeks a Project Controls Engineer to join our team in Katy, TX. You will partner with project managers, engineers, schedulers, and construction pros to enhance planning, forecasting, reporting and execution. This role is ideal for recent grads and early‑career professionals who enjoy solving complex problems.

Based at our Katy headquarters, remote work is not available. You will develop executable plans, forecast outcomes, identify risks, and help teams improve

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a technical field related to engineering, construction management, or analytics.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and visualizations using Excel, Power BI, and other tools.
• Improve planning quality and execution performance for project teams.
• Analyze project cost, progress, schedule, labor, and productivity data.
• Participate in planning workshops, schedule reviews, forecasts, and performance discussions.
• Identify trends, risks, opportunities, and inefficiencies in large datasets.
• Support cost forecasting, progress measurement, change management, automation, and continuous improvement.
• Support development and maintenance of integrated schedules using Primavera P6 and MS Project.
