Job summary

Optimized Process Designs (OPD) seeks a Project Manager to lead EPC projects from development through commissioning at our Katy, TX headquarters. The role emphasizes conceptual design, project execution, leadership, and business development, with on-site work Monday–Friday.

Responsibilities include coordinating design, procurement, and construction activities, managing budgets and schedules, leading customer reviews, and traveling to project sites up to 20% as needed to deliver safe, compliant,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering/construction or equivalent experience.
• Experience leading EPC or large capital projects with accountability for project planning, cost estimating, scheduling, risk management, and customer engagement.
• Understanding of prime contract and subcontract language.
• Experience creating and reviewing design drawings and calculations.

Responsibilities

• Develop conceptual designs for new projects.
• Provide technical design and engineering oversight through project completion.
• Review process equipment, vendor selection, and subcontractor services.
• Coordinate piping and instrumentation diagrams, valve specifications/lists, piping definitions/specifications, and equipment specifications.
• Coordinate between engineering disciplines, field construction teams, and subcontractor personnel to ensure sound engineering design.
• Lead customer reviews.
• Travel up to 20% to project sites.
• Lead, coordinate, and conduct quality assurance reviews in the office and on-location.
• Drive critical decision-making to shape the outcomes of large-scale projects.

Education

Bachelor's Degree in engineering and/or construction discipline or equivalent experience
