Job summary

Optimized Process Designs (OPD) is a Koch Engineered Solutions company seeking a Project Controls Engineer to join our team in Katy, TX. You will collaborate with project managers, engineers, schedulers, and field teams to improve planning, forecasting, reporting, and execution while using data-driven insights to reduce risks and boost project performance.

This role targets early-career professionals with a strong technical background and a penchant for solving complex problems.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering, Construction Management, Engineering Technology, Industrial Technology, Applied Mathematics, Data Analytics, or a related technical discipline.
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and visualizations using Excel, Power BI, and other tools.
Help project teams improve planning quality and execution performance.
Organize, validate, and analyze project cost, progress, schedule, labor, and productivity data.
Participate in planning workshops, schedule reviews, forecasts, and project performance discussions.
Identify trends, risks, opportunities, and inefficiencies within large datasets.
Support cost forecasting, progress measurement, change management, automation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Support development and maintenance of integrated schedules using Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project.
