Job summary

CDM Smith seeks an Entry Project Controls Specialist to join our Project Controls Team. You’ll help plan, budget, forecast, and report on projects while partnering with managers and teams for informed decisions.

You’ll develop schedules, monitor progress, and perform basic financial analyses, supporting project deliverables and document control in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent required; travel may be required.
• Entry knowledge of project management methods, budgeting, planning and control.
• Ability to work in fast-paced environments with shifting priorities.
• Good written and verbal communication across staff and vendors.
• Experience with Primavera and EcoSys is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support compliance with internal procedures and gather progress data.
• Develop time-phased schedules and monitor schedule and cost baselines.
• Produce earned value reports and discuss trends with supervisors.
• Store and retrieve project documentation using proper protocols.
• Perform routine analyses and assist with financial reports.
