Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an Entry Project Controls Specialist to join our Project Controls Team. You will support scheduling, budgeting, forecasting, and performance reporting for projects of basic complexity, working with project managers and teams to ensure on-time and on-budget delivery.

The ideal candidate will have foundational knowledge of project management methods, Earned Value Management, and basic financial analysis, with strong teamwork and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; equivalent experience considered.
• Entry-level to basic knowledge of project management, budgeting and scheduling.
• Familiar with project controls concepts and financial data analysis.
• Ability to work in fast-paced environments with shifting priorities.

Responsibilities

• Support compliance with internal procedures and federal regulations.
• Update schedule dates, percent complete and cost data with project teams.
• Develop time-phased forecasts and monitor earned value data.
• Prepare routine cost and schedule reports for management and clients.
• Maintain project documentation and control processes.
