Job summary

Builders FirstSource is seeking an entry-level Assembler to perform repetitive assembly tasks on our production line. You will position parts, fasten components, and cut items to spec as needed. No formal education requirements, with carpentry experience considered an asset.

This role involves standing for long periods, lifting up to 50 pounds, and working in a loud environment. Overtime may be required; safety gear provided; equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions.
• Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Verbal expression ability to effectively present information.

Responsibilities

• Places parts in specified relationship to each other.
• Bolts, clips, screws, cements, or otherwise fastens parts together.
• Cuts products to specific measurements as needed.
• Removes defective products as needed.
• Tends machines to perform assembly operations on the line.
• Works at different workstations as production needs require.
• Cleans equipment, floors, and work areas according to safety procedures.
• Other duties may be assigned.
