Job summary

Builders FirstSource, Inc. is seeking an entry-level Assembler to perform repetitive assembly operations to mass-produce products such as windows, doors, trusses, panels, or stairs on the assembly line in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities include placing parts, fastening, cutting to measurements, removing defective items, and tending machines. No formal education required; prior carpentry experience is helpful, and willingness to stand for long periods is expected.

Qualifications

• There are no requirements in terms of education or experience.
• Prior carpentry experience helpful.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions.

Responsibilities

• Places parts in specified relationship to each other.
• Bolts, clips, screws, cements, or otherwise fastens parts together.
• Cuts products to specific measurements as needed.
• Removes defective products as needed.
• Tends machines to perform fastening operations on assembly line.
• Works at different workstations as production needs require.
• Works in environment where tasks change as models are produced.
• Cleans equipment, floors, and work areas according to safety procedures.
• Other duties may be assigned.
