Job summary

Builders FirstSource, America’s largest supplier of building materials, is hiring an entry-level Assembler. This role performs repetitive assembly to mass-produce products such as windows, doors, panels, and stairs by following simple instructions and safety procedures.

No formal education or prior experience is required; prior carpentry experience is helpful. The position supports a fast-paced production environment with emphasis on quality, safety, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Reading and writing skills to follow simple instructions and communicate clearly.
• Basic math ability for measurements and unit conversions.
• Ability to read a tape measure and interpret simple specifications.
• Clear verbal and written communication; ability to work in small groups.

Responsibilities

• Places parts in specified relationship to each other.
• Bolts, clips, screws, or cements parts together.
• Cuts products to specified measurements as needed.
• Removes defective products as needed.
• Tends machines on the assembly line for fastening operations.
• Works at different workstations as production needs require.
• Maintains clean and safe work areas per procedures.
