Job summary

Mercury Systems is seeking an entry-level assembler for the Operations group to learn mechanical assembly and finishing under direct supervision. You will perform sealing, laser welds, paint touch‑ups, epoxy work, and hardware installation while gaining hands‑on training in laser operations and manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities include torquing hardware, interpreting drawings, inspecting work, and following quality procedures to meet production schedules.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to read and follow assembly drawings, routers, and written/verbal instructions in English.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity.
• Willingness to learn laser equipment, tooling, and processes.
• Basic computer skills and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic hermetic sealing operations using laser welder under supervision.
• Learn to work in a glovebox environment with machine tools and precision instruments.
• Perform paint touch‑up on production assemblies as needed.
• Apply epoxy sealing and staking to components per work instructions.
• Torque hardware to specification using torque wrenches and follow procedures.
• Interpret drawings, instructions, and routers to complete tasks.
• Inspect completed work for conformance with guidance.
• Read laser weld diagrams and assembly instructions.
• Load fixtures and make basic process adjustments under supervision.
• Use a microscope to inspect parts and identify quality issues.
• Maintain quality standards and document issues for supervisor.
• Follow safety requirements for manufacturing equipment.
