Job summary

Guidant Power, operating with Morrow Engineering, seeks an entry-level Electrical Engineer to support power distribution projects for new installations and retrofits across North American clients. You will build models, run calculations, produce drawings, and collect field data under supervision to develop core skills toward independent project responsibility and PE licensure.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited B.S. in Electrical Engineering required.
• Zero to two years in power/industrial settings; internships count.
• FE exam passed or scheduled preferred.
• Experience with ETAP/SKM/EasyPower is a plus.
• Exposure to AutoCAD is advantageous.
• Strong three-phase power fundamentals knowledge required.
• Clear written and verbal communication essential.
• Eligible to work in the U.S. and able to pass client background checks.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering and design support to Project Engineers on new installations and retrofits; build models, calculations, drawings, data collection.
• Build and update power system models in ETAP, SKM PowerTools, and EasyPower under supervision of senior engineers.
• Perform short circuit, device coordination, and arc flash calculations per IEEE 1584 and NFPA 70E.
• Travel to client facilities to collect data and verify one-line drawings (5-15% travel).
• Create and revise one-line diagrams, schematics, and design drawings in AutoCAD.
• Draft study reports and arc flash labels for senior review.
