Job summary

Guidant Power is seeking a Power Project Manager/Engineer to lead electrical power projects in North America, including on-site leadership and data collection. The role offers project ownership from kickoff to final deliverable and support for professional licensure as you pursue your PE.

You will interface with clients, manage scope and budgets, oversee junior engineers, and coordinate with subcontractors and vendors to ensure compliant, timely deliverables.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited program.
• 5+ years running electrical or power projects in industrial/commercial settings.
• PE license or active pursuit with employer support for licensure.

Responsibilities

• Manage power system study and design projects end-to-end: scope, schedule, budget, client communication.
• Perform and check arc flash, short circuit, and coordination studies in ETAP, SKM PowerTools, and EasyPower.
• Direct the work of entry level engineers and review their models, drawings, and reports for accuracy.
• Lead field data collection at industrial sites, including energized data gathering under NFPA 70E (15–25% travel).
• Prepare and review project documents including equipment specs and bid packages.
• Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and client purchase orders on active projects.
• Provide construction-phase support: RFI responses, submittal reviews, and field questions.
• Present findings to client maintenance, engineering, and EHS staff.
• Support proposal development with scoping input and level of effort estimates.
