Job summary

Opportunity Group, Inc. is seeking an Electrical Engineer with a strong interest in power engineering in Grand Rapids, MI. This role welcomes early-career engineers or those with a few years of experience to grow in power distribution, arc-flash analysis, and system design.

The position emphasizes developing technically, pursuing FE/EIT and PE licensure, and progressively managing power studies and client relationships within a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (ABET-accredited) required.
• Interest in electrical power, distribution, or construction.
• FE/EIT certification and PE licensure pursued.

Responsibilities

• Conduct electrical power studies for commercial/industrial facilities.
• Develop power distribution designs and documentation (one-line diagrams, riser diagrams, panel schedules, load calcs).
• Review drawings and calculations for accuracy; support project teams and customer interactions.
