Job summary

Guidant Power, in partnership with Morrow Engineering, seeks a Power Project Manager/Engineer to own electrical power projects from kickoff to final deliverable. You will scope site visits, direct data collection, perform analyses, and deliver reports or design packages, with licensed PEs reviewing outcomes.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering from ABET-accredited program.
• 5+ years leading electrical or power projects in industrial/commercial settings.
• Demonstrated project management with multiple deadlines and client contact.
• PE license, or pursuing licensure; supported by the company.
• Experience with ETAP, SKM PowerTools, or EasyPower is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage power system study and design projects end to end: scope, schedule, budget, client communication.
• Perform and verify arc flash, short circuit, and coordination studies.
• Direct entry-level engineers; review models, drawings, and reports for accuracy.
• Lead field data collection at industrial/commercial sites (15–25% travel).
• Prepare and review project documents: equipment specs, installation details, bid packages.
• Manage change orders, scope adjustments, and client PO requirements on active projects.
• Coordinate subcontractors and vendors; chase drawings and submittals.
• Provide construction-phase support: RFIs, submittals, field questions.
• Present findings to client maintenance, engineering, and EHS staff.
• Support proposal development with scoping input and LOE estimates.
