Job summary

MainePERS seeks a Payroll Account Associate I to join our Employer Reporting team. This entry-level role supports retirement services for Maine's public employees by reviewing payroll reports, processing member forms, and resolving discrepancies.

You will work with Excel and MS Office, maintain accurate records, and collaborate with employers and staff to ensure compliance and timely reporting. The starting salary is near the pay range minimum, placement based on education and experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with relevant experience or a post-secondary degree with related experience.
• Proficient in Excel at the Beginner level by end of probationary period.
• Proficient in MS Office suite.

Responsibilities

• Review payroll reports, adjustments, and employer payments for accuracy.
• Research and resolve payroll reporting discrepancies.
• Analyze payroll information to ensure compliance with reporting requirements.
• Process member-related forms and maintain accurate records.
