Job summary

UT Health San Antonio is hiring a Patient Services Representative-Associate (Entry Level) to support front desk operations. Under supervision, you will schedule appointments, check in/out patients, verify benefits, obtain authorizations, and provide telephone triage.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 1 year of related experience is required.
• Ability to maintain security and integrity per Texas EO-GA-48.

Responsibilities

• Greets patients, verifies insurance coverage and eligibility, reviews new patient registration, obtains authorizations, assists in the collection of copays and enters new patient information.
• Maintains medical and insurance referral records and prepares patient charts.
• Ensures test results are filed.
• Handles and answers all phone calls and transfers calls to the appropriate departments as needed.
• Manages patient appointments according to the physician's schedules and/or protocols.
• Performs all other duties as assigned.
