Job summary

UT Health San Antonio is seeking an entry-level Patient Services Representative-Associate for the Orthodontics and Pediatric Dentistry area. Under supervision, you will schedule appointments, check in/out patients, verify benefits, obtain authorizations, and handle triage calls.

You will greet patients, process registrations, maintain records, manage phone calls, and support the front desk with daily procedures and patient flow in a clinical setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• One year of related experience is required.
• Detail oriented with the ability to organize and coordinate work within schedule constraints and handle emergent requirements in a timely manner.

Responsibilities

• Greets patients, verifies insurance coverage and eligibility, reviews new patient registration, obtains authorizations, assists in the collection of copays and enters new patient information.
• Maintains medical and insurance referral records and prepares patient charts.
• Ensures test results are filed.
• Handles and answers all phone calls and transfers calls to the appropriate departments as needed.
• Manages patient appointments according to the physician's schedules and/or protocols.
• Performs all other duties as assigned.
