Job summary

UPMC Altoona is seeking compassionate Patient Care Technicians for full-time night shifts (7:00 PM–7:00 AM). No prior experience required; training provided to start your healthcare career and support patients with daily needs.

Qualifications

• No prior patient care experience required.
• Willing to learn and training provided.

Responsibilities

• Work alongside nurses to provide safe, respectful patient care.
• Assist with bathing, eating, walking, toileting, and personal care.
• Take and document vital signs, weights, and intake/output.
• Answer call bells and respond to patient needs to keep them safe.
• Assist with patient transport, meals, supplies, cleaning, and safety checks.
• Communicate respectfully and support the care team.
