Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care in Dearborn is seeking an entry-level Professional Registered Nurse for the Outpatient RN CAP 1 program. This role provides assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation for an assigned group of patients within the End Stage Kidney Disease care team.

You will work with RNs, LVNs/LPNs and Patient Care Technicians to deliver coordinated care. On-the-job training is provided, with rotating days/shifts and opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current state RN licensure is required.
• CPR/BLS certification required.
• Must meet practice requirements in the state of employment.
• Entry-level RN with less than 2 years nephrology experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate clinically competent care, including assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation for assigned patients.
• Collaborate with RNs, LVN/LPNs and Patient Care Technicians as needed.
• Administer medications as prescribed or per approved algorithms.
• Direct and provide safe delivery of hemodialysis therapy.
• Participate in education for patients and families and support transplant/treatment discussions.
