Job summary

MyEyeDr. is seeking an Optometric Technician to support Doctors of Optometry by performing preliminary testing and measurements, prepping patients for exams, and learning pretest equipment. Training will be provided to learn the industry and essential procedures, with some weekend and evening shifts required to ensure patient flow.

You will work under the Office General Manager and help deliver a best-in-class patient experience in a growing vision care environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required and ability to understand basic math.
• Personable and patient with patients during screening.
• Detail oriented and able to work closely with the Optometrist.
• Willingness to learn about industry, products, and services.
• Collaborative team player focused on delivering the best patient experience.
• Healthcare/medical/optical background is preferred but not required; training provided.

Responsibilities

• Consult with patients, document medical history, and prep for Optometrist exam.
• Maintain smooth flow of patients to doctor and staff during appointments.
• Ensure patient comfort with office procedures during exams.
• Learn to use pretest equipment to perform visual screenings.
• Conduct contact lens training and other preliminary testing as applicable.
• Collaborate with doctors and team to provide a seamless patient experience.
