Job summary

MyEyeDr. is seeking an Optometric Technician to support Doctors of Optometry by preparing patients for exams, performing preliminary testing and measurements, and guiding visits.

No optical experience required as training will be provided; some weekends and evenings shifts may be needed. You will document patient history, help maintain smooth flow to the Doctor and staff, learn to use pretest equipment for visual screenings, and assist with contact lens training, contributing to a best-in-class

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to comfort patients.
• Detail-oriented and able to work closely with the Optometrist.
• Willingness to learn about industry, products and services.
• Healthcare/optical background helpful but not required, training provided.

Responsibilities

• Consult with patients, document conditions and medical history for exam prep.
• Maintain smooth flow of patients to the Doctor and staff.
• Ensure patient comfort with office procedures during appointment.
• Learn to use pretest equipment to perform visual screenings.
• Conduct contact lens training and other preliminary testing.
• Collaborate with doctors and team for seamless patient experience.
