Job summary

Ensemble Health Partners is seeking a Senior Patient Access Specialist for an on-site role at Bon Secours - Rappahannock General Hospital in Kilmarnock, VA. You will perform admitting duties, support training, and ensure regulatory compliance while delivering exceptional patient service.

Requires 1–3 years in a similar role, with openness to AI-driven process improvements and a solid Revenue Cycle understanding. On-site role with benefits, on-call duties, and POS collections responsibilities.

Qualifications

• 1 to 3 Years experience in a similar role.
• Must be inquisitive and demonstrate openness to innovation including AI to explore better processes and ways to alleviate friction and improve patient and client experiences.
• Understanding of Revenue Cycle including admission, billing, payments, and denials.
• Comprehensive knowledge of patient insurance process for obtaining authorizations and benefits verification.

Responsibilities

• Assign MRNs and perform medical necessity or compliance checks with accuracy.
• Utilize ABN software to inform Medicare patients of possible non-payment and document ABN distribution.
• Develop training materials and programs for new hires in the department.
• Develop staff schedules within the patient access department and participate in on-call coverage.
• Collect point-of-service payments and support POS/billing processes to improve clean claim rate.
