Job summary

The University of Connecticut Information Technology Services is seeking a Manager of Network Engineering and Operations to lead the Network Engineering and Network Operations teams on the Storrs campus, regional campuses, and the School of Law.

This role reports to the Director of Network Services and oversees network engineering, operations, monitoring, automation initiatives, and related enterprise services.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience with technical teams and supervision.
• Experience managing enterprise network infrastructure and services.
• Ability to balance strategic planning with hands-on engineering leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead Network Engineering and Network Operations teams with a focus on availability and performance.
• Develop and govern roadmaps, standards, and procedures for enterprise networks.
• Oversee routing, switching, wireless, data center networks, and cloud connectivity.
• Mentor staff, drive automation, and collaborate with stakeholders across campus.
• Ensure security, compliance, and disaster recovery readiness for critical services.
