Job summary

Cox Fleet offers a paid educational program through FleeTec Academy that leads to becoming a full-time Diesel & Trailer Technician. Participants receive pay during training, travel and lodging, and a stepwise path to join our Mobile Diesel Mechanics team in their market.

The program includes 10 weeks of classroom study, then hands-on mentorship, followed by another five weeks of classroom training, with eventual placement as a Mobile Technician.

Qualifications

• Must be willing to study hard for 10 weeks of full-time schooling at the Academy Campus.
• Provide DOT background check and DOT physical as required prior to employment.
• Candidate must be at least 21 years old and hold a valid driver’s license.
• DOT regulated pre-employment screening is required.

Responsibilities

• Participate in paid classroom training at the Academy Campus; travel expenses and stipend provided.
• Receive hands-on mentorship and practical training for diesel and trailer maintenance.
• Progress through multi-year training to become a Mobile Diesel Technician.
• Perform preventative maintenance and on-site repairs for customers when assigned.
