Job summary

Clearwater Paper at Cypress Bend is seeking an entry-level Maintenance Millwright (C Mechanic) to maintain and service mill machinery, ensuring safe, efficient operations and minimizing unscheduled downtime across the site.

The role requires basic proficiency across multiple crafts (Electrical, Instrumentation, Millwright, Machinist, HVAC) and hands-on work on a 12-hour rotating shift, including nights, weekends and holidays, with strict adherence to safety, PPE, and lockout/tagout procedures.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required.
• Minimum 2 years in manufacturing/industrial environment or recent completion of Electro/Mechanics/Industrial Electrical program preferred.
• Must follow all safety procedures including PPE and lockout/tagout.
• Able to work in physically demanding environment with temperature extremes and noise.
• Capable of lifting up to 40 lbs frequently and heavier with team lifting/overhead crane.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and service mill machinery to ensure efficient operations and minimize downtime.
• Operate a variety of tools and perform equipment changes as needed.
• Adhere to safety policies and participate in incident investigations as required.
• Inspect equipment and ensure compliance with environmental regulations and reporting requirements.
