Job summary

Trane Technologies in Hastings, NE is seeking an on-site Welder to join Thermo King manufacturing operations. Perform welding and grinding on assemblies using wire feed arc welding, with emphasis on aluminum and steel welds.

Requires a high school diploma or GED and completion of the GMAW 1 welding course; forklift certs may apply. Benefits include day-one eligibility and a competitive hourly base.

Qualifications

• Must successfully complete a welding demonstration.
• Read and understand TK prints for the department.
• Internal bidders must complete GMAW 1 course or have the certs.
• External hires must start Thermo King Certification within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Perform welding and grinding on assemblies using wire feed arc welding machines.
• Complete blueprint reading training and demonstrate ability to read TK welding blueprints.
• Maintain quality welds in aluminum and steel per department requirements.
• Identify, load/unload jigs and fixtures and use measuring equipment.
