Job summary

ERock is seeking an entry-level Microgrid Mechanical Technician to support maintenance and operation of multiple generator systems in the Phoenix area. You will work with Area Managers and senior technicians on inspections, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting to ensure reliable power delivery for customers.

Ideal candidates have basic mechanical/electrical knowledge, a valid driver’s license, and a willingness to learn.

Qualifications

Basic mechanical and/or electrical knowledge with interest in power generation and field service operations.
Ability to safely operate company vehicles and transport materials and personnel.
Must pass Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check and hold a valid driver’s license.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safe, quality work.
Basic computer skills for documentation and communication.
Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including on-call, evenings, weekends, or holidays.
Trade school or hands-on technical training preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform skilled repairs of Volvo Penta Diesel Engines (16 L), PSI (21.9 L) and Marathon generator ends, plus related control gear.
Learn and use vendor-specific software to diagnose engine and control issues.
Coordinate with manufacturers for technical support.
Conduct scheduled, preventive, or predictive maintenance on generators.
Troubleshoot and repair issues and perform periodic inspections.
Work in confined spaces, hot/cold environments, and follow safety procedures.
