Job summary

ERock is a leader in distributed energy and smart-grid solutions, based in the United States. ERock seeks a detailed-oriented Mechanical Technician to maintain Microgrid generators and ensure reliable on-demand electricity for customers.

This is a field-based role with about 75% travel, reporting to the Reliability Program Manager. The successful candidate will address maintenance on Volvo Penta and similar engines, perform troubleshooting of controls, and coordinate with manufacturers.

Qualifications

• Experience – at least 3 years mechanical and/or electrical.
• Education level preferred: College or equivalent training.
• Must be able to operate vehicles safely and pass MVR check.
• Must be on feet for extended periods and able to lift 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Perform skilled repairs of diesel engines and generator ends and related control equipment.
• Learn and use manufacturer software to troubleshoot engine and control system problems.
• Provide technical support and liaise with equipment manufacturers.
• Perform preventive, routine, and predictive maintenance tasks on generators.
• Inspect periodically to identify maintenance needs and ensure safe operation.
