Job summary

ERock is a leader in distributed energy, providing reliable backup generation and smart-grid solutions. We seek an Electrical Technician to perform field maintenance on generators, switchgear, and control systems, with extensive travel and a direct reporting line to the Reliability Program Manager.

The role requires hands-on fieldwork outdoors, interpreting schematics, and ensuring safety compliance across projects. Excellent communication and a valid driver’s license are essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years electrical maintenance experience (generators, switchgear, 24V controls).
• Proficiency in generator theory and protection relays.
• Ability to read Electrical and Mechanical schematics.
• Strong multitasking to manage multiple projects.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license with clean MVR.
• Ability to work outdoors, 75% travel.
• Must meet company safety procedures and policies.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine electrical maintenance on generators, switchgear, circuit breakers, and 24V cabinets.
• Troubleshoot 3-phase power systems, wiring, and generator controls.
• Diagnose faults in electrical panels and motor controls.
• Collaborate with mechanical teams on equipment swaps and repairs.
• Use test equipment (multimeters, meggers) to validate function.
• Log work orders and track time via mobile tools.
• Adhere to safety procedures and company policies.
• Prepare, operate, and maintain a company vehicle.
