Qualifications

• 0-5 years relevant experience or equivalent
• High School diploma/GED preferred
• Warehousing and material handling experience preferred
• Experience setting up, operating, and troubleshooting metal working machines preferred
• Ability to read and comprehend written instructions
• Basic measurement and arithmetic skills required
• Basic computer proficiency

Responsibilities

• Perform basic production activities on a variety of machines to produce precision parts and instruments.
• Review blue prints, work orders, and tooling instructions to understand machining characteristics of metals.
• Choose correct material for the job according to work order.
• Determine processing specifications and tolerances.
• Align and secure fixtures, tools, and materials on machines.
• Monitor speeds, feeds and operation sequences for various materials.
• Operate machines to fabricate and repair parts per specifications.
• Conduct quality inspections and ensure conformance to specifications.
• Maintain and clean equipment according to procedures.
• Complete work order documentation and restock material.
