Job summary

The Whiting-Turner Contracting Company is seeking an Entry-Level Engineer to support project management and field coordination on construction sites. You will work with owners, architects, engineers, inspectors, and subcontractors, helping to keep projects on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with design specifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline, Engineering Technology or Construction Management, Construction Technology.
• Knowledge of engineering principles.
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate work with project owner representatives, architects, engineers, inspectors, and site subcontractors and/or direct the work of all trades assigned to a construction site.
• Assist in managing estimating and bidding processes and tracking costs to support budget control.
• Resolve and clarify design issues and field problems.
• Identify and resolve field issues and change orders.
• Draft contracts and purchase orders using boilerplate language to document work, schedules, costs, change orders and specs.
• Attend meetings to coordinate work and manage labor concerns.
• Ensure work aligns with quality standards and contract specs.
• Support project schedules and document each project phase.
