Job summary

Whiting-Turner Contracting Company is seeking an entry-level engineer to support all phases of construction projects on-site. You will report to a Project Manager and/or Superintendent and help coordinate with owners, architects and subcontractors, while assisting with estimates, change orders and schedules.

The role involves reviewing drawings and specifications, documenting project details, and ensuring quality and safety standards are met.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline or related field.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Familiarity with project scheduling and cost-tracking is expected.

Responsibilities

• Assist in coordinating work with owners, architects, engineers, inspectors and subcontractors.
• Support project managers and superintendents to manage budgets and change orders.
• Review drawings, specifications, submittals and change orders for clarity and feasibility.
• Assist in documenting the technical, financial and personnel aspects of each project.
• Ensure work aligns with safety standards and contract specifications.
