Job summary

State Employees' Credit Union is seeking an entry-level Associate Member Services Representative to learn foundational branch operations and deliver exemplary member service by responding to inquiries in person and by phone. Responsibilities include cash handling, transactions, and assisting with account origination and maintenance under supervision.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Preferred – Bachelor’s degree, or CCUE Certification, or Associate of Arts/Science via NC-CTP.
• Demonstrates SECU core values.
• Aptitude for meeting people and developing member confidence, respect, and trust in the Credit Union.
• Good communication skills, verbal and written.
• Good problem-solving skills.
• Complete Core Module Program within 12 months of hire date.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist members in a courteous, professional manner through all service channels.
• Process transactions and balance a cash drawer according to standards.
• Learn CXone and assist MSS as requested.
• Maintain daily records for various reports (e.g., return items).
• Assist in opening basic accounts under supervision and learn product offerings.
