Job summary

HealthMark Group is seeking an entry-level Onsite Medical Records Processing Specialist for our Marquette, MI location. The role focuses on timely ROI processing, strict accuracy, and PHI confidentiality to support healthcare providers.

Responsibilities include processing ROI requests, conducting quality checks, and maintaining queues with professional conduct. A $1,000 sign-on bonus is offered, with paid eligibility after 180 days of employment and adherence to HIPAA policies.

Qualifications

• Entry-level role; willingness to learn ROl processes.
• Ability to handle PHI with confidentiality and HIPAA awareness.

Responsibilities

• Complete all incoming ROI requests in a timely and efficient manner.
• Maintain 100% ROI accuracy in processing.
• Complete STATs within an hour; 24-hour turnaround for other ROI requests.
• Keep all queues current and organized.
• Validate requests and authorize release of PHI per procedures.
• Perform quality checks for accuracy, confidentiality, and invoicing.
• Maintain confidentiality, security, and ethics in handling records.
• Prepare legal affidavits and answer questions as needed.
• Regularly scan ROI requests into the chart.
• Follow ROI policy for HealthMark and clients.
• Maintain neat appearance and observe client dress code.
• Keep work area clean and orderly; store records properly.
• Update facility guide as needed.
• Provide excellent customer service and be attentive.
• Proactively identify issues; de-escalate when needed.
• Communicate effectively with customers and provide status updates.
• Strive for maximum customer satisfaction; assist with requests by phone.
