ENTRY LEVEL MECHANICAL/ELECTRICAL TECHNICIAN

We have immediate openings for mechanical/electrical technicians who want a challenging profession and enjoy travel.

QMSI IS CURRENTLY LOOKING FOR MECHANICAL/ELECTRICAL TECHNICIANS WHO FIT THE FOLLOWING CRITERIA:

• 2-year technical degree in the area of mechanical/electrical engineering or High school diploma plus 2 years of experience in the area of mechanical/electrical assembly or maintenance
• Hands-on experience with machine tools, mechanical assembly, machine maintenance and electrical panels
• Fluent with Microsoft office products, e.g., Word, Excel, etc.
• Read mechanical/electrical drawings, and instructions
• Recognize the importance of being task-oriented and of paying attention to details
• Interest in a long-term home with QMSI in La Vergne, TN (a suburb of Nashville)
  
  

General Capabilities/Responsibilities

• Employ best practices for existing and new projects
• Able to work in a self-directed manner to plan, manage, and accomplish multiple tasks and assignments to meet required deadlines
• Able to work in a team and understand the importance of teamwork, collaboration, and open communication
• Able to effectively communicate technical information and respond to questions
• Fabricate, Assemble and Test mechanical/electrical assembly according to engineering drawings and instructions
• Perform onsite installation at customer site
• Able to travel and to work outside normal working hours (including weekends) when necessary to meet schedules and/or to install modifications to online production facilities
• Able to troubleshoot basic mechanical/electrical issues
• Able to lift 50 lbs.
• Perform regular shop tasks including cleaning, organization, equipment maintenance, etc.
• Be energetic, creative, and well-organized.
