Job summary

IMEG in Charlotte, NC is hiring a Mechanical Engineering New Graduate to gain hands-on experience designing HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems for vertical building projects.

You will work on project planning, documentation, quality control, safety, and collaboration with architects, engineers, and project managers, with mentoring and growth opportunities including EIT pathways.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering required.
• Fundamental knowledge of thermodynamics, psychrometrics, heat transfer and fluid mechanics related to building systems.
• Familiarity with standard engineering software and HVAC load calculations.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills; eager to learn.

Responsibilities

• Assist in designing and analyzing HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems meeting codes and IMEG standards.
• Interact with clients to gather requirements and communicate technical information.
• Support project execution as part of a project team and help with planning and scheduling.
• Document design decisions and monitor progress; assist with quality control and safety.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated solutions.
