Job summary

You will perform calculations and simulations, prepare technical documentation, and collaborate with electrical engineers, project managers, and maintenance staff to integrate mechanical systems across the airport.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• Experience in mechanical design for baggage handling or material handling systems.
• Proficiency in CAD software (Revit, AutoCAD) and simulation tools.
• Strong understanding of mechanical principles, materials, manufacturing processes.
• Familiarity with ASME, ANSI, ISO standards and aviation/regulatory requirements.
• Excellent problem-solving and collaboration skills.
• Effective communication with diverse stakeholders.
• Project management experience.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical systems for baggage handling equipment, including conveyors and carousels.
• Conduct feasibility studies and cost analyses for new designs and modifications.
• Collaborate with electrical engineers, project managers, and maintenance staff for integration.
• Perform detailed calculations and simulations to validate performance and safety.
• Create and maintain technical documentation and manuals.
• Identify opportunities for improvement and lead enhancement efforts.
• Participate in supplier evaluation and component selection.
• Support troubleshooting and root-cause analysis in operational systems.
• Stay current with industry trends to drive innovation.
