Job summary

Vanderlande is seeking a Mechanical Project Engineer I to support North American Airport Engineering. You will translate customer drawings into robust mechanical systems, model in 3D, and manage clash detection while coordinating with Electrical, Controls, and Supply Chain teams.

The role emphasizes proactive problem-solving, strong communication, and collaboration across disciplines. Domestic travel up to 33% and international opportunities are expected.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology.
  • Minimum 5 years of related work experience (or 8 years with Associate ME/ET).
  • Willing to travel domestically up to 33% and international opportunities.
  • Strong communication and teamwork with problem-solving focus.

Responsibilities

  • Translate drawings into a fully functional mechanical system.
  • 3D modeling and clash detection management.
  • Create 2D customer approval and installation drawings.
  • Perform spatial analysis of clearance envelopes and aisles.
  • Coordinate with Electrical, Controls, and Supply Chain disciplines.
  • Travel to sites for surveys and assist installation.
