Apple Iceland is seeking a Home Item Configuration Designer to ideate, model, test and refine product concepts with cross-functional teams. You will help drive from initial concept to manufacturability, collaborating with architects and engineers across disciplines to ensure robust, high-quality designs.

Requires a BS in Mechanical Engineering or related field and strong fundamentals in mechanics, materials, heat transfer, and manufacturing processes.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent required.
• Strong fundamentals in mechanics, materials, heat transfer, and manufacturing processes.

Responsabilités

• Collaborate with architects, product integrity, hardware, software and innovation teams to refine and finalize product designs.
• Develop initial item concepts, model, demonstrate and test to drive production.
• Coordinate with external suppliers and internal manufacturing teams to optimize for feasibility, aesthetics and manufacturability.
• Ensure designs meet requirements throughout their lifecycle via tests and evaluations.
