Job summary

Apple is seeking a Product Design Engineer for Home items in California. The role focuses on ideation, detailed design, modeling and testing, with travel as needed to settings in Asia.

You will collaborate across disciplines to advance product concepts from idea to production, ensuring manufacturability and quality throughout the lifecycle. The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related field and at least 2 years of mechanical design experience.

Qualifications

• Basic B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 2+ years of full-time mechanical design experience.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with design, engineering and sourcing teams to refine product design.
• Develop initial concepts, model, test and iterate until design is ready for manufacturing.
• Coordinate with suppliers and internal teams to optimize form, fit and function.
• Ensure designs meet requirements throughout the product lifecycle through testing and analysis.
