Job summary

SERVPRO in Kentucky is seeking an Entry-Level Mechanic to support our lead mechanic with maintenance and repair of company vehicles and equipment. This role emphasizes hands-on learning in a fast-paced environment where you will grow practical automotive skills.

You will perform routine maintenance, assist with diagnostics, and help identify maintenance needs to keep SERVPRO vehicles ready for service. This entry-level position offers growth opportunities while supporting a dependable team.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of automotive repair and preventative maintenance.
• Hands-on experience through work, trade school, vocational training, or personal mechanical projects.
• Ability to safely use shop tools and equipment.
• Willingness to learn under the lead mechanic.
• Strong attention to detail and reliability.
• Ability to lift and move automotive parts and operate in a shop environment.
• Valid driver’s license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the lead mechanic with diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing company vehicles and equipment.
• Perform routine maintenance, including oil changes, fluid checks, filter replacements, tire rotations, and basic inspections.
• Complete basic repairs under supervision.
• Assist with suspension repairs, including replacing worn or damaged components as directed.
• Perform brake service and repairs, including inspections, pad and rotor replacement, and related maintenance.
• Keep accurate records of services, repairs, parts used, and vehicle condition.
• Maintain a clean, safe, organized work area and properly care for tools and shop equipment.
• Follow all company safety procedures and applicable vehicle-maintenance standards.
• Help identify maintenance needs early to reduce downtime and keep SERVPRO vehicles ready for service.
