Job summary

Herc Rentals seeks an entry-level Mechanic C to learn branch quality standards and maintenance procedures. You will support preventative maintenance, inspections, and basic repairs to keep equipment ready for rental.

Working with a team, you will follow SOPs, read schematics with training, and perform oil changes, filter replacements, lubrication, and battery checks as part of a structured development path.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ownership of a sufficient selection of hand and air/electric tools to complete most repairs and services.
• Ability to drive and operate multiple types of vehicles and equipment.
• Some knowledge of electrical and hydraulic systems; willingness to learn how to read schematics.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on branch fleet, including oil changes, filter replacements and lubrication.
• Operate and test equipment to meet safety and quality standards.
• Inspect engines, belts, hoses and hydraulic systems for leaks and wear.
• Enter work orders and assist with parts ordering and reporting.
